Keith Robinson and Hawaii’s Forbidden Isle

Keith Robinson has dedicated himself to the preservation of the culture as well as the ecology of Niihau, one of the main islands in state of Hawaii. He has spent a long time trying to preserve endangered plant species of the Islands, especially on the aforementioned island. He is known for wearing with faded jeans and a green hard hat, and for carrying a pistol. He has said that this has been his practice because he needs protection from marajauna farmers whom he stumbles upon from time to time in his work with plants.
For their part, the Robinson family has charged itself with defending Niihau from losing its identity through encroachment from the outside world. The natives however, do leave the island to visit Kaui from time to time to avoid the worst of its droughts, to attain medical care, or to attend school. You cannot drive an automobile on the isle, so you will not see someone speeding around with a Nissan or whatever.
Keith Robinson’s dedication to his environmental work in Hawaii is hard, if not impossible to dispute. His influence upon the inhabitants of Kaui is perhaps a little more dubious. He has said that he has spent millions in the course of his work and has compared his struggles to the Waco disaster and Ruby Ridge. He has threatened to defend his island with force, if it comes to that. As ana side if you are in Hawaii and you find yourself wanted to rent a car and are searching for a Hawaii Nissan dealer then may I suggest this resource.
In interviews with Robinson, he has made his distrust for the government well-known, and yet the island is 80% subsidized by a Navy installation. He is further considering other government projects to fund the island, such as allowing the Navy to produce jet fuel on the island. He is probably one of the best known citizens in Hawaii.

San Francisco’s Neighbor to Be In Television Spot

The television NBC show called, “Trauma” which had an ample supply of personal injury related cases, has been canceled, but one more episode will still be produced, and it will be shot in Oakland, California. Oakland will be the scene of a staged for TV bank robbery. There will be actors in the uniforms of paramedics, cops, and they will be playing FBI agents, and news reporters with news vans. All in all, the episode in question will be called, Tunnel Vision, and will be produced between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. today and tomorrow. The TV chaos will be filmed at the corner of 21st Street and Broadway. As an aside if you require a wonderful San Francisco personal injury lawyer then may I suggest Scott Righthands firm as he is a leading lawyer for personal injury cases in the bay area in general.
As it now stands, the traffic will be halted to permit shooting intermittently by the real Oakland police, to permit shooting. There will be actors stationed on roofs with phony firearms, and the police are concerned that people know it’s only pretend. The police are concerned that when people see actors in San Francisco SWAT TEAM uniforms, not to mention firemen and paramedics, that will become concerned that there is a real emergency and phone 911. In that case someone just might need a good lawyer you would think.

Chicago: Wrestler Suing After Stairs Collapse

Jennifer Fernicola issued a report today November 11, 2009, in the Hot Topics section of the online publication, Chicago Now, under the title, Pro Wrestler sues after he falls out of the ring.
Apparently, the stairs leading from the wrestling ring collapsed under professional wrestler Gregory Lee as he left the ring. He is suing Windy City Pro Wrestling. In the complaint that was filed last July, the wrestler was in a wrestling entertainment event held at Toyota Park in Bridgeview. The stairs to the ring collapsed and Lee suffered personal injured in a fall. I am sure he will be looking for a good personal injury lawyer.
All in all, Lee contends that Windy City Pro Wrestling was also negligent when it, “failed to adequately light the catwalk and stairs leading from the wrestling ring.” The third defendant in Lee’s case is the Village of Bridgeview because it helped in the building of the stairs and catwalk. As an aside if you need a great Chicago personal injury lawyer then might I suggest Joh Buden’s practice as he is a highly rated personal injury lawyer for the windy city. meanwhile, In a somewhat unrelated story, the Chicago Sun Times ran a piece today, November 11, 2009, by Mark Brown, titled, Law students’ idea grows into godsend for vets.

LA Census Report 38 % Drop In Homeless

In somewhat controversial news, The Los Angeles Times ran a story today, November 11, 2009, called Backlash over report showing a big drop in L,A,’s homeless population, and it was written by Cara Mia DiMassa. Homeless advocates have been writing, blogging, and tweeting in frustration over a January census, which indicated that the number of homeless people in the region had actually dropped 68,808 in 2007 to 42,694, despite the current economic meltdown.
These advocates say these figure are just not correct. They fear this report could cause them to lose funding when the need is actually very great. After all, many of these homeless are veterans and some have suffered personal injury, etc.
David Snow is executive director of a Santa Monica-based agency, Upward Bound House, that focuses on low-income seniors and homeless families. He was quoted in the article as saying, “I would say there was surprise and shock at the numbers “I wouldn’t call it a criticism of the count.” BTW if you are in the market for a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer then allow me to sugges this firm to you. He can help with accident, wrongful death, spinal cord and related personal injury related cases. He is a leading lawyer in Los Angeles.
All in all, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority issued the report which seems to contain mysterious findings at time when so many in this part of the country are suffering a deep recession and have lost their homes.

Jewelry Styles of the Rich and Famous

Many people loved the elegant style of Jackie Kennedy. As far as style, my favorite first lady is Michelle Obama. I love her fresh, simple, youthful style. She has a natural, unstudied look, with simple dresses with just the right amount of accessorizing, and perfect little splashes of jewelry. She might wear a black dress with a simple white choker of pearls. A sleeveless dress might sport one dab of a brooch. She might wear not much more than a bold pair of hoop earrings. A business suit might be complimented with a triple strand necklace, a sundress coupled with a strand of colored beads, or a really great-looking bracelet. You won’t catch her wearing Diamond G Shock Watches and the like I guess. However, What to do if you love the way jewelry can brighten up an outfit, but the gems and jewels of the rich and famous are beyond the reach of your budget? Costume jewelry is the answer, of course! Costume jewelry can be fine jewelry. It is often best suited to big bold styles The plainer the clothes, the more standout the jewelry can be. The stars on the red carpet know that a long plain strapless sheath is the perfect foil for beautiful diamond jewelry. Beyonce loves to wear earrings that are as big and gorgeous as she is. Kate Blanchett is the elegant type; she might wear just one thick gem-studded bracelet with a dramatic fitted dress. As an asid if you are interested in gold chains, Diamond G Shock Watches Aqua Master Watches, Gold Franco Chains & Necklaces or perhaps techno master watches then this E-Store may be for you. In addition they also have Gold Rosary Necklace and IceLink Diamond Watches as well plus some other really cool bling bling jewelry to choose from.

Bizarre Denver Robbery almost Almost 97 Years Ago

On December 18, 1922 a Federal Reserve vehicle was parked outside the front entrance to the mint, and workers were filling in up with five-dollar bills. That was the date that the Denver Mint was successfully robbed in something right out of Bonnie and Clyde. The Buick took off and hit a fire hydrant and a truck along the way. A police car chased them, but they escaped.Roadblocks were set up. But the Buick vanished, leaving a bloody shotgun at the scene. In the aftermath onlookers’ accounts of the crime were muddled. They gave eight different license numbers for the getaway car.
When the guard who shot at the robbers, Charles T. Linton, died, murder was added to the robbery. The city was gripped with fear. The hunt was frustrated by a lack of evidence. As an aside if you require a denver personal injury lawyer let me suggest Larry Lee, as he is a first rate personal injury lawyer from the mile high city.
The case drifted until January 14, 1923, when the Black Buick was found in an abandoned garage, where a shiny new padlock made a neighbor suspicious. Inside the garage the police not only found the Buick, but they found the body of one of the robbers frozen solid inside it who had suffered fatal personal injury in the shootout!
After much drama—including the involvement of an ex-prostitute who was the girlfriend of one of the robber’s, $80,000 was recovered. 12 years after the robbery the Denver police stated that the case was being closed because all of the robbers were either dead or in prison, not much for a lawyer to do on this one.

Immigration Attorney Wins Big battle in Los Angeles

As someone born and raised in Los Angeles I thought this was quite interesting: a settlement was approved last week in a United States Courtroom in southern California. All in all, It ordered a deadline of 6 months for the relevent authorities to decide on many dozens of citizenship requests from Los Angeles, and the San Bernardino area. All in all, attorney (s) for the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Immigration Law Center, filed the suit back in 2007. They cited the loss of jobs, among other injustices that the legal aliens experianced due to years of delays. Meanwhile, in other Los Angeles legal news, it was reported that Member of Teen Gang That Burglarized Celeb Homes Taken Into Protective Custody. Today, November 9, 2009, Nicholas Prugo, 18, was taken into protective custody. Prugo confessed to being involved in the celebrity burglaries of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and others. Prugo also named 6 others in the crimes. The police took Prugo into protective custody after he had received a threat, according to his attorney, Sean G. Erenstoft. Erenstoft declined to say who had made the threat. As an aside if you need a first rate Los Angeles lemon law attorney then may I suggest the offices of Arash Law. Their lead attorney can help you with many facets of lemon law in your area of Souther California. Noe back to the story:According to Erenstoft, Prugo cooperated with the police, and was promised that his help would be kept from the public. Erenstoft said that Prugo’s cooperation helped resolve a case that police detectives had been unable to resolve. Prugo was arrested after someone told the police that he was involved in the burglaries. I wonder if he was the same one involved in some grand theft auto in the same area a while ago?

Health: How You may be able to Prevent the Swine Flu

The following information has been circulating on the Internet. I seldom pass anything along that I receive in emails or read on the Internet, but for this empowering information, I’ll make an exception.
Especially in this day and age when may people have compromised immune system functioning. I mean you do not have to be a total health food nut, and it is certainly alright to have some delicious Gourmet cookies or perhaps homemade cookies once in a while, but go easy on the praline candy and the Pecan Pralines, etc. And if you do happen to buy cookies, that is fine, but just try to
balance it all out with some healthy foods like berries that can really give a sharp boost to your immune system and thus help prevent you from getting the flu in the first place.
And taking some antioxidants can really help a lot too, especially vitamin c.
Many people cannot, or in some cases will not for a variety of reasons, be vaccinated against the Swine Flu. For all of them, this message could be particularly helpful.
All in all, Dr. Vinay Goyal is an MBBS,DRM, DNB (Intensivist and Thyroid specialist) and has over twenty years of clinical experience. He has worked in institutions like Hinduja Hospital, Bombay Hospital, Saifee Hospital, Tata Memorial etc. Presently, he is heading the Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre, Malad (W).
The following message was provided by Dr. Goyal:
The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. How often are we given such powerful, common sense information? I have lately become a frequent hand-washer. I may now add gargling and occasional salt water nasal cleansings.

Fill Up Blank Office Walls With Color and Art

Just got back from seeing my Bergen County dentists, time to blog again. How common is the experience of moving into a space with neutral-toned walls and wondering what to do with all that empty, blank office wall space? And how common is it that we hang few little pictures or perhaps a painting or two around that fail to adequately fill the space because they are too small in scale?
Large, colorful art pieces are a great answer. If it’s a large wall, use a large piece, or a collection of pieces. Medium walls, scale down accordingly. With a small wall it’s the same principle. Some of it is rather bland I suppose but most is very nice, whether it be an office painting or an art gallery or whatever. If you want to see some nice art though go to bergen county dentists and see their office, it is very nice. btw they can help you with cosmetic procedures, teeth whitening, cosmetic procedures and the like. In addition to Bergen County, their dentists also cover other areas like Emerson, hillsdale dentists, Oradell, harrington park and Westwood, among others.
An easy way to help you select pieces that will compliment your room is by using a color wheel. If you’re not familiar with a color, it is a very simple wheel that shows what colors look good together. They easy to find on the Internet, and they are easy to use. For example, if you have a lot of green in your room, look at the wheel and find green. Now look at what is opposite the green range on the wheel and you will find that color is red. Red is the compliment of green. Yellow is the compliment of violet. Orange compliments blue. If you have a beige room, you can bring in any colors that appeal to you by adding an office painting or some other type of building art..

Combining Art and Psychology

I just returned from San Diego and it is work time again. I was reading recently that the Lehman brothers office art, including lavish paintings and similiar office artwork, was up for sale or auction. That reminded me of something: An interesting article about a new career combining psychology and interior design was published in the newsletter of the APA Science Directorate, November/December 2000 issue of Psychological Science Agenda, and was written by Susan Lee Painter, PhD. In the article called, An Interesting Career in Psychology: Design Psychologist. In the piece, Dr. Painter writes about leaving a tenured position at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, where she had taught and conducted research for 6 years. She was also the founding Director of Canada’s National Clearinghouse on Family Violence. Good style like that can be so hard to find incidentially. I seem to recall a certain san diego cosmetic surgeon that had all this good art in her office. I mean if you are a successful plastic or cosmetic surgeon why not, right? After a all, a successful cosmetc surgeon in a place like Los Angeles or San Diego makes a lot and can splurge a little. After all, tumescent liposuction, tummy tuck, liposuction and breast implants cost a pretty penny these days as do all cosmetc surgery procedures that I am aware of except the simple ones like botox injections or something like that. Good building art and office paintings can be quite rare, it seems to me.
She thought that she was leaving Psychology behind when she enrolled as a full-time interior design student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). However, now Dr. Painter combines her knowledge of Psychology with her knowledge of architecture, design and art. As a student at UCLA she was asked to teach, “Human Factors in Design.” Excited, she rose to the challenge using her Psychology background and devised curricula for the course, which she still teaches.
She developed her course so that it, as she says in her article, “focuses on fulfilling the psychological needs of clients and users of space, rather than simply using aesthetic factors to serve as the basis for design.” She taught her students to use listening and observation, and interview methodologies to ascertain how spaces were really used. She explains that this principle is especially vital in determining how to design schools, residential communities for the elderly, and other facilities where there will be high levels of stress.
For my part, i think I am going to go work on that office art gallery some more.
